Did you know that if your home is being sanitized the applicator is required to hold a pesticide license. Our applicators have a license. Most if not all duct cleaners do not hold a pesticide license. Be sure to ask. Also the National Air Duct Cleaners Association has set guidline up to ensure that sanitizing is done correctly. Be aware be informed don’t take a chance of some one who may not know what they are doing. It is your home make sure you use only the best. We make sure that your air duct cleaning is done right.
There are many companies that say “they follow nadca cleaning standards”. Well how do they know what the standards are if they have not attended or taken a nadca certification? Here in Utah there are only three companies that are nadca certified. We are one of those companies. Visit www.nadca.com for a list of utah companies that are members.
Bryan’s Power-Vac is now a partner with ENERGYSTAR. We will be updating the website with a page dedicated to our partnership with ENERGYSTAR, so check back to see what’s new.
Spotlight on Duct Cleaning If you have not seen the video that has played on PBS about duct cleaning, please take a few minutes to watch the video clip.
The other day Bryan’s Power-Vac was called out to inspect a clients air ducts that were cleaned by another company. The client simply wanted to know if they had been thourghly cleaned. During the inspection with our duct cam it became obvious that the cleaning was not done correctly. In every vent I could see right where the compnay stopped cleaning in each of the vents. One was only cleaned about two feet, leaving the other 10 feet dirty. The company did not clean any of the main trunks. This client paided a lot of money for a partial job. Make sure the company is willing to show before and after pictures and also cleans out the trunk lines. Otherwise you are paying a lot of money for a partial job. Visit www.nadca.com for information on how to choose a good air duct cleaner.
